A unit is the course’s hours per class ratio. A course is normally 6 units for undergraduate. An undergraduate student enrolls in an average of 6 courses per semester, equivalent to 36 units

The cost of the UDLAP unit is $3,850* mexican pesos for all undergraduate programs. To calculate the tuition, multiply the number of registered academic units by the unit cost. The minimum number of units to take is 30 per semester (5 courses of 6 units).

Example for a semester tuition:
$3,850* x 30 units = $115,500 mexican pesos (minimum number of required units)
$3,850* x 36 units = $138,600 mexican pesos (average number of units)

Tuition advance $23,100 mexican pesos (6 units)

IMPORTANT: The tuition advance payment made through banks must be made two business days prior to the registration date. Payments made at BBVA, HSBC and Santander will appear on the student's Account Statement 30 minutes after payment. Banorte payments will be reflected in 24 hours.

Medical exam $1,790 mexican pesos (one-time fee)

You must pay for this exam at the UDLAP Unicaja before August 8th, 2025. Students of the undergraduate program for Medical Surgeon are exempt of this payment.

All new students who take their medical exam after their first registered period will have to pay a penalty fee of $895 mexican pesos.

One-time admission fee payment $14,875 (one-time fee)

You pay this fee just once when enrolling in the undergraduate program. It must be paid before August 8th, 2025.

One-Time Admission Fee for Residential Colleges $5,485 mexican pesos (one-time fee)

This payment is for students who enroll in the Residential Colleges Cain-Murray, Ray Lindley, Ignacio Bernal, José Gaos.

You pay this fee once, whether you live in Residential Colleges during your entire university career or only for one or more semesters.

Major Medical Expenses Insurance Payment (GNP)

The payment will only be required to those students who do not provide their personal valid policy of major medical expenses insurance, within the periods established by the Student Insurance Department.

Payment of pending tuition balance and, if applicable, balance of Residential Colleges (per enrolled period)

Use one of the following payment methods:

Cash payment

Pay the tuition balance, residential colleges balance (if applicable), or other pending fees from August 21st to 25th, 2025.

Deferred payments

Make four payments for tuition and residential colleges (if applicable), assuming a financial cost of 3.2% * monthly interest over the unpaid balance.

1st payment: August 27th - 29th
2nd payment: September 24th - 30th
3rd payment: October 27th - 31st
4th payment: November 24th - 28th

You must consult the monthly payment amounts from the first day of payment on your student’s account statement at: https://aplicaciones.udlap.mx/estadodecuentaestudiante/. If the monthly payments are not made on time, a monthly 6% arrears interest will be charged on the outstanding balance.

The electronic payment of tuition at: BBVA, HSBC, Santander and Banorte, must be made in the option: Pago de servicios.

To pay at a banking institution, go to any BBVA, Banorte, HSBC or Santander branch. Provide the account or agreement number, student reference number and make the deposit to Fundación Universidad de las Américas, Puebla.

Cash: Payments made during banking hours at BBVA, HSBC and Santander will be reflected in the account statement within 30 minutes, Banorte will be reflected within the next 24 hours.

Check: issue the check on behalf of Fundación Universidad de las Américas, Puebla. Checks of the same bank, made in banking hours at HSBC, BBVA and Santander will be reflected in the account statement within 30 minutes, checks of different banks for HSBC, BBVA and Santander will be reflected in the account statement in 24 hours. Checks from Banorte will be reflected in the account statement in 24 hours, checks from other banks to Banorte will be reflected in 48 hours.

If you wish, you can pay at the Unicaja UDLAP, located in building 1 109 from 8:00 to 17:00. Payments will be reflected immediately on the statement account. You may use:

• Check issued or cashier's check made out to Fundación Universidad de las Américas, Puebla.
• Credit card with a 2.18% administrative fee for VISA and MasterCard and 4.43% for American Express.
• Debit card (no administrative fee).
• Direct debiting We also have the service of automatic charges to American Express (administrative fee 4.43%), VISA, and MasterCard credit cards (administrative fee 2.18%), as well as to checking or debit accounts. Every month you will be charged the outstanding amount. To obtain this service, the account owner must go to the Unicaja UDLAP located in building 1 109 from 8:00 to 17:00, to sign the automatic charge authorization form.

Students having Banorte's financial aid are not requested to renew this form. Direct debiting applies only to the deferred payment plan.
