Founded in the 16th century as a bridge between Mexico City and the port city of Veracruz, Puebla is one of the most important colonial cities in Mexico and its fourth largest city. The city of Puebla is home to many universities and offers the commercial infrastructure and services of any world class city.
UDLAP offers over 70 academic programs that meet high quality standards in both traditional and distance learning modalities. Our programs are multidisciplinary, innovative and modern, imparting the knowledge and skills that our future alumni will use in their professional careers.
Agreements for Academic Cooperation have been established with over 200 universities in 40 countries worldwide, allowing students to complete one or more academic terms of their program abroad. Dual-degree programs (double diploma) have been established at undergraduate and graduate levels with universities in the United Kingdom, Italy, the United States of America, France, Canada, and Germany.
UDLAP meets high educational standards and since 1959, it has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools – Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) of the United States of America, an accreditation that was reaffirmed in 2015 for the following 10 years and is currently undergoing the reaffirmation process for a similar period. This positions UDLAP as one of the five institutions in Latin America with this academic endorsement, a distinction that grants our graduates 'export-quality' credentials.
UDLAP participates actively in several university associations both nationally and internationally, exchanging information and consultations for all types of institutional processes.
